Path to cannabis
CBD revolutionized how I looked at Cannabis. I’ll never forget that day. I was asked to do an event called Coming Out of the Green Closet- Medical Marijuana and the LGBTQ community and I had invited a world renowned Medical Doctor to share his knowledge. After he spoke I joked about my anxiety and he subsequently put down a bottle of microdosed and measured CBD and winked. I picked up the bottle and took two sprays. 15-20 later I was a new woman at the event. The anxiety and stress of an event was removed. It was like a breathe of fresh air. I had smoked cannabis before but never in such a controlled way that allowed me to understand and appreciate the medicine. I still smoke joints and love and appreciate the relief they provide my pain.
I’m a snob. I like products made by socially conscious brands. So I prefer organic, sustainably grown, ethically grown products by socially responsible folks. I say that to say I use very few brands when it comes to my CBD. Thankfully THC has a few more options. I’m a sublingual or ingestion of CBD and inhalation of THC human.

Additional info about discontinued medication
Prior to my last back surgery about 5 years ago I came out of the green closet and told my health care provider it’s my preferred treatment for pain. She didn’t believe me until I refused all opioids and have never looked back. Same goes for the Xanax I took on a regular combined with the Valium for emergencies. I’ve been V&X free for approx 9 years.

I became more mindful. Mindful of the world outside of myself. I also meditate daily and do grounding excercise a at least once a week.
Additional info about medical Cannabis experience
I gained some weight. I forgave myself first of all and am allowing myself time to find the perfect balance for living a pain and anxiety free life. I’m working it off now and am aware that anytime I stray from being mindful of my body I run that risk. So diet along with excercise are crucial for viability.
