Overall health, well-being and quality of life before medical cannabis
I was a recreational user off and on since 1971-72 and my health has always been great due to fantastic genetics in my family. I started having chronic arthritic pain about 10 years ago and it had gotten worse over time. The pain was always worse in the morning and at nights after a long day at work. All in all my over all health was good.

Path to cannabis
I had been smoking cannabis for quite a few years when I started to look at it Medically. I started getting strains that helped with sleep at night from a few different Dispensaries around town.
I was smoking a lot of indica as a few of today's remedies were not yet available.
How Cannabis has had an impact on patient's day to day life
Yes, I am a full time Medical grower here at our place. We moved out of the city to a more rural area and my over all pain is manageable, my moods are better, PTSD much improved and healing, Anxiety, no problem just a few tokes before leaving the home and I'm good for a few hours. Depression is something that is dealt with on a day to day basis as I grow strains suited for this and will toke accordingly.

Additional info about discontinued medication
I never have really used over the counter meds, but can say that when I injured myself at work 5 years ago and refused to take any meds from my doctor or the specialists they and worksafeBC did not believe I was suffering from the pain I described and I had to fight it out in the courts because my claim was rejected the first time and my chronic pain complaint was dismissed and never addressed properly.
